Summer Camp: What To Bring |
BASIC CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT CHECKLIST
The following list is to help you plan. All clothing should be comfortable so campers can play hard. No laundry facilities are available, so please plan sets/pair of clothing based on length of stay. Let your camper help pack so they know where everything is!
BEDDING ( sleeping bag with pillow)
RAIN GEAR (poncho or raincoat - REQUIRED)
SWIMMING (swim suit, 2 towels, sunscreen)
CLOTHING (Nothing fancy)
· Shorts (2 or 3 pairs) cutoffs are fine
· Jeans (2 pr) and one pair sweat pants
· Underwear (plenty)
· Bandana
· Socks (no footies) REQUIRED
· Light jacket
· Sweatshirt
· Long sleeved shirt (IMPORTANT- Temperatures still drop into the 50’s at this elevation of 4,000 feet during June & July)
· T-shirts (No halters, tank tops, tube tops, cut off tops) NO BARE MIDRIFTS
· Sleep wear (1-2) can be a set of jogging pants and T-shirt because of the cool nights
FOOTWEAR –
· 1 pair for water activity – old tennis shoes are great, or water shoes that snap or Velcro closed. These will get wet and muddy during creek exploration and waterfront activities.
· 1 pair for hiking. Prefer lightweight hiking boots. The added support is needed.
· 1 pair shower shoes (thongs or flip flops)
· NO Crocs!
TOILETRIES – in a bag
· Shampoo, brush, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste
· Soap in a soap box or baggie
· Female sanitary protection
· Stick deodorant
· 1 or 2 wash cloths
· 1 towel
· Flashlight & extra batteries
· Non-aerosol insect repellent
· Laundry bag (an old pillowcase or mesh bag so items can air dry)
· Bible, notebook, pencils
· Stationary, stamps, OR self-addressed stamped postcards
· Water bottle (available at camp store)
· Day Pack (book bag) REQUIRED by all campers to carry bag lunch, water bottle, rain gear, etc
· 1 Cotton T-Shirt or pillowcase to tie-dye
· Disposable Camera
· Book to Read
